Uncle's and Aunt Brooke

It pays to be they only niece and nephew in the family. Sadie and Connor are showered with love and attention by all of Ryan's brothers and their new Aunt Brooke and our kids love they so much back!

Character Fun

We were surprised to see how much Sadie LOVED the characters. She wanted to hug them all! Connor was more selective about who he wanted to take a picture with and reserved his hugs for Woody and Mickey!

Connor's Birthday Cake

We celebrated Connor's Birthday AGAIN after a half day at Disneyland. Lance hooked Connor up with the coolest cake he's ever had. A friend of Lance's made this custom cake. She did such a great job. Grandma, Grandpa, Lance, Sean, Brooke, Ryan, Chad, and Connor, all enjoyed it down in the Lobby while I stayed with Sleeping Beauty Sadie in the room. They did bring me a piece of cake which was wonderful. Thanks so much to Lance (and the girl that made it) for the best cake EVER!

Star Wars Jedi Training

Connor had anticipated Jedi training at Disneyland for months. He had watched videos on YouTube over and over. When we arrived he was excited to watch, but clearly said he did not want to participate. Besides, "I'm already a Jedi, Mom! I don't need to be trained." It was fun to watch and see the characters up close.

Princess Visit

Day two began with a ride on the Disneyland railroad to the Princess Pavillion. We waited in the longest line of the whole trip for those lovely ladies. We were told that 35 minutes is not bad compared to most days. Connor was just as enthusiastic as Sadie to meet them, but as soon as we got in to meet them he refused to go up to any of them. Cinderella was definately the favorite that we got to meet. Sadie visited with her for a good while. She tried to involve Connor by asking if "Connor was her prince?" She also said that she had a shy friend named Gus. Pretty Sweet. It was worth the wait and definately good to check that one off the list! On to more fun!

First Night At Disneyland

We had a wonderful first night at Disneyland! After a smooth flight and arrival in Orange County the whole Johnson gang checked into our hotel, had a bite to eat, and headed to the Happiest Place on Earth for Connor's 5th birthday! When we got to will call to pick up our tickets, I told the nice "cast member" that it was Connor's birthday. They are running a promotion this year where you get in free to their parks on your birthday. Since we had already purchased our "5 for 3" park hoppers, I didn't expect him to get in free, but just mentioned his birthday in hopes of a free pin or something. To our surprise, they gave us a $72 gift card, the price we would have paid for one day in the park for him to spend on any merchandise. Wow! With that great start, we had probably my favorite evening at the park of all the 5 days. We hit the rides that the kids were excited about with no lines at all. We rode Small World, Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo, the Carousel, and more. We also got to see the amazing fireworks show that Sadie had looked forward to since the 4th of July. Just when we thought it couldn't have been a better night, we got to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse on our way out! What a birthday!
