Remlinger Farms

Heidi and I went on another big outing with the kids at the end of August. We had to squeeze in all the fun we could before the end of summer! What a fun day it was! We started out with Connor puking in the van from playing video games in the car...and ended with getting SUPER lost on the way home, but in between, our day was great.  The farm was such a cute place with rides, animals, and things for the kids to see and do. Sadie and Connor said it was one of the best days of the whole summer!

I'm a little biased, but I think I have darn cute kids!

Such a fun group!

So thankful for good friends!
I'm one lucky momma!

Do kids get any happier than this??

Portland Adventure with Friends

Before the summer was over, Heidi and I wanted to take our kids to the Portland zoo, so at the end of August we headed out-two blonde moms with 6 kids and had quite an adventure!

After carrying the double bob stroller of some really steep stairs we finally made it up to the zoo train.

Eliza hated the train and closed her eyes to avoid the whole situation.

The whole group!

Cute girls!

Eliza obviously enjoyed her chocolate ice cream!

Big Kids!
Connor's favorite--cheetah!!

The next day, the kids and  I enjoyed a day at Wilson pool. We love the diving board, slide, lazy river, and warm water!

Connor's 8th Birthday Party

Connor turned 8!! He decided (may have gently been persuaded-due to a great deal I got on a party package) to have his "friend" party at Charlie Safari this year. It is a fun place with inflatables, a HUGE play structure, arcade games, and our party included unlimited laser tag.  Ryan was able to sneak out of work since it was over lunch and come. All of Connor's best buddies were also able to make it. I think it was a success. Connor was a happy kid, and very gracious. After the party, he kept thanking us and saying that it was the BEST DAY EVER. I sure love my 8 year old!

Just a couple of things I want to remember about my 8 year old Connor...
1.  He is, and I'm sure will forever be my little sports fanatic.
2. He easily makes and keeps friends.
3. He is very sweet to Eliza...Sadie is another story...(the 2 are just sooo different!)
4. He is an avid reader. He finished reading 2 of the Harry Potter books by the end of first grade.
5. He is funny.
6. He has a hard time sitting down and sitting still-we have to tell him multiple times during meals to sit!
7. He loves to be outside.
8. He has a good attitude about most things.
9. He loves his grandparents.
10. Interests right now are legos, video games, friends, anything active. :)
