Spring Break in Texas!

When the weather was particularly bad a couple of weeks before spring break, we decided to book some tickets to go see some cousins, grandparents, and SUN!  Ryan couldn't take the time off work, so the kiddos and I took off to Houston together. The flight down went well. The kids are so spoiled with their own dvd players, an ipad, and an iphone. How did we ever get by with out so many electronics??
The first couple of days grandma and grandpa were in Boise for Madison's baptism. Melanie let her kids ditch school, and we loved going to parks, the pool, going on walks, and eating at Chick-fil-A! The cousins instantly hit it off, Melanie and I had a blast, and Jon bonded with Eliza by offering her endless Oreo cookies and any other junk food she wanted.

All 3 plugged in!

These two are little divas.

Cole and Connor-such good boys!

Valentine's Day 2012

I realize this was months ago-but I just came across these cute Valentine's photos and had to document the fun day! Sadie had some friends over to decorate sugar cookies, and then later I got to go help out with Connor's first grade party. I sure love my little monkeys...and their dad too!

Connor's Basketball Season 2012

I'm pretty sure I can blame Eliza for the lack of pictures I have taken this past year of Connor's sports.  She is always trying to run onto the field/ court. This season was another great one. Connor LOVES the game of basketball. I love to watch him (and Ryan is one proud dad)! The first game of the season, Connor was a little hesitant on the court, so Ryan decided to motivate him with money. I know its terrible parenting, but the incentive of 25 cents for rebounds and 50 cents for baskets made sure was motivating. I think Ryan was out 10 bucks one game! Towards the end of the season, Ryan started to regret that bribe! Fun times!
The one video I took all season-no shot but a little dribbling action!

Mouth is always open for shots...

Up for a rebound!

Random Happenings in March 2012

I have been terrible at blogging and taking pictures. Here are a few randoms from the month of March.

Repainted fireplace

Kitchen Before

Kitchen after!

Eliza is obsessed with her binky and buckles.
Rare sunny day at the park with my girls!

Connor ate scrambled eggs for the first time since he was a baby!!

Eliza's belly button is still a major outie and she LOVEs to show it off-especially by lifting her shirt and showing perfect strangers!

Lots of dollhouse play with my girls.

ELiza is my outside girl-she climb the ladder on the play set and go down the slide all by herself now!

Swimming! My girls are loving the pool these days!

Connor saved up enough money to by a Nintendo DS  (thanks to Grandpa Mark giving him the final $40)- and in true Connor fashion, he is playing it outside.

Surprise!

I have to look at these pictures to remember how much I do love these 3 characters...especially since the four legged one decided to leave me a gift (poop) to clean up while I was picking up Sadie and friends from preschool today. This is a RARE occurance. I can count on one hand how many times he has ever done it in almost 9 years . Fortunately Ryan has always cleaned up the messes...although I thought about leaving it for him to deal with, I decided that wouldn't be nice...so lucky me! Good thing we all do really love him-especially Eliza and Connor.

Winter Dance Recital

Grandma and Grandpa came to see Connor play basketball and to see the first dance recital of the year. It was adorable as usual. I love that Sadie shows no signs of stage fright. I hope that she continues to love dancing as much as she does now because there is nothing cuter than watching her!

Daddy Daughter Dance 2012

Ryan and Sadie went to their second daddy daughter dance at Capital high school at the end of January. Sadie had a busy day with Connor's basketball game and a birthday party. I tried sooo hard to get her to take a nap, but she was too excited. The cute couple left to go to Panera for a pre-dance dinner date, then headed to the dance. They had a great time making bracelets, eating ice cream, watching performances, and of course dancing. However, after about an hour and a half, she was ready to leave and could not be talked into staying. She asked permission to go to sleep on the way home and was asleep with in seconds. I'm glad they got to go, despite how tired she was. I feel like these are special memories for them both (and a genius fundraising idea for the local high schools)!

Classic!
