Sunday Outings to the Highschool

We have a tradition of going to the fields of the highschool just behind our neighborhood every Sunday afternoon/evening. We load the kids in the wagon ( or sometimes Connor rides his bike) and always bring lots of sports gear. Ryan and Connor play soccer, football, tennis, or baseball. Sadie and I just run around and sometimes pet and feed the horses that live in the pasture next to the fields. Cooper joins the fun too playing fetch with frisbee. Last week Cooper found a friend- a Lab puppy to run around with. The fields were a little soggy and both dogs got sooooo muddy. Ryan had to give him a bath in the backyard in the dark when we got back. We all love this little family tradition .

I love the BYU jersey Conner is wearing! Groom him early! Nice "strategic product placement" so he'll just naturally transition into cougarland and the Helaman Hall Dorms! I love reading about what you and your family are up to! Your little ones are so adorable!

I love Sunday afternoons (too bad we have afternoon church next year). Looks like you all have a great time!

APPLE CRESENT ROLLS

2-3 cans cresent rolls
5-6 apples chopped into small pieces

Roll the cresent roll triangles out individually and make a little bit bigger. Fill with apples. I put a small row of apples and then roll once and do that all the way to the end of the crescent roll.

Mix over medium heat:
2 sticks of butter
11/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla

Pour over rolls

8 oz mt.dew or sprite. pour around the edges of the cookie sheet and sprinkle rolls with cinnamon.

Bake at 350 for 30-35 min.

Use sauce from bottom of the pan and put over rolls. Serve with ice cream

DINNER IN A PUMPKIN

1 Chicken breast per person
1-2 boxes stove top stuffing
1/2 lg onion
4-5 stalks of celery
mushrooms
1 can cream of chicken soup

Cook your chicken and dice it. Make your stuffing according to box. Instead of using water use chicken broth. Sautee onions, celery, and mushrooms together. Mix all ingredients together. Fill mini pie pumpkins. Bake at 350 for 2 hours with top on pumpkin.

*You can add whatever you want to this. I added the cream of chicken soup because I thought it needed something else to it. But you could add different spices to it too.

Who knew...I was your neighbor for almost 5 years and never knew about your Sunday tradition. :) Probably cause we usually hide-away in the house on Sundays. :) It's so great to have the high school so close there. I definite miss the benefits of our tight little Tumwater community where everything is closeby it seems. Things here are so spread out.
