"Smor's" Fun

After taking photos on the beach, we spent the night roasting marshmallows and visiting around the firepit at our resort. Does life get any better than this?

Some of My Favorites

My Handsome Men

So fun to have Grandma and Grandpa with us!

Our Newport Beach Photo Shoot

Before we left for California, I was looking at photographers in the area, and realizing how expensive they are. I had the idea to have Lance take some pictures of us while in So. Cal. What a beautiful evening it was! I love the Newport/Laguna Coast!!! Connor was great the whole time and actually quite enjoyed posing for the camera. Sadie, on the other hand, was quite uncooperative the whole time, but we did manage to get a some keepers. Thanks Lance!!!

Last of a Million Disneyland Posts

We had the best time at Disneyland this year! It was so fun to have the whole Johnson family there. We took it pretty slow most days and took breaks in the afternoon at the hotel when it was really hot and crowded and then came back to enjoy the nights at Disney. Connor and Ryan even had a day to themselves at the Park. They did all of Connor's favorites including Star Tours 4 times in a row! Sadie and I hung out at the pool , took naps, and met them for the Pixar Parade in the evening. It was a little too hot for our liking, but because of our slow pace , we did okay. I think the heat scared the Californians away because we didn't wait in any long lines. The longest was the new Toy Story ride in California adventure and that was only 30 minutes (and well worth it -so fun!) Ryan and I got to escape for a few hours and do all the rides we wanted to do. I even convinced Ryan and Lance to do the Tower of Terror! We managed to see all the shows and parades that we wanted to. Connor's favorite was Fantasmic , and Sadie loved the 4 nights of fireworks. I loved Aladdin live on stage. We were sad to leave, but very excited for the 2nd half of the trip-Newport Beach...more posts to come.

Uncle's and Aunt Brooke

It pays to be they only niece and nephew in the family. Sadie and Connor are showered with love and attention by all of Ryan's brothers and their new Aunt Brooke and our kids love they so much back!

Character Fun

We were surprised to see how much Sadie LOVED the characters. She wanted to hug them all! Connor was more selective about who he wanted to take a picture with and reserved his hugs for Woody and Mickey!

Connor's Birthday Cake

We celebrated Connor's Birthday AGAIN after a half day at Disneyland. Lance hooked Connor up with the coolest cake he's ever had. A friend of Lance's made this custom cake. She did such a great job. Grandma, Grandpa, Lance, Sean, Brooke, Ryan, Chad, and Connor, all enjoyed it down in the Lobby while I stayed with Sleeping Beauty Sadie in the room. They did bring me a piece of cake which was wonderful. Thanks so much to Lance (and the girl that made it) for the best cake EVER!

Star Wars Jedi Training

Connor had anticipated Jedi training at Disneyland for months. He had watched videos on YouTube over and over. When we arrived he was excited to watch, but clearly said he did not want to participate. Besides, "I'm already a Jedi, Mom! I don't need to be trained." It was fun to watch and see the characters up close.
