I spent my WHOLE Saturday setting up and decorating for the church party. It turned out really nice, but I'm starting to think that a HUGE dinner is not needed. I wish the kids would just do a nativity and then have Santa and dessert maybe?? No one really asks me though so I just do what I'm told. :) The kids program was pretty cute and the Santa was adorable!

Our ward transitioned to something besides a Christmas dinner this past Christmas. It was very poorly attended due to that, but I thought it was a good concept. They had some big trays of crackers, cheeses, and vegetables and fruits. Everyone started out with snacks and writing letters to some soldiers and coloring pages for the little kids. Then we had a music program (each auxiliary provided one musical number). Then Santa came and we had desserts. Everyone brought a dessert. It was quite simple, but turned out nice except the number of people attending.
